Powerful Swelling and drumming Agent for polyester fabrics and blends

PENTRON-DR is a very powerful concentrated APEO free swelling & scouring agent for desired grainy effect on highly twisted polyester yam fabrics. This product is suitable for application both on Drum and Jet dyeing machine. The excellent wetting and penetrating action of PENTRON-DR helps to open up the twists of yam, swelling and shrinkage to produce the compacting effect.

Dyeing of polyester fabrics

The dyeing of polyester fabric using disperse dyes can be carried out by four methods

High temperature dyeing method

Thermosol dyeing method

Solvent dyeing and carrier dyeing

Carrier dyeing

certain hydrocarbons, amino acids, amides, alcohols, phenols, and esters accelerate the rate of dyeing of polyester fibers with the disperse dyes from aqueous medium at temperature of up to 100C. The dyeing assistants alter the dispersing properties of the dyes and the physical properties of the fiber so that more of the dye transfers from the dye bath liquor to the fiber substrate. These additives are called as carriers, which swells the fiber and ultimately cause relaxation. The reducing intermolecular forces operating in the fiber and act as molecular lubricants thereby allows the dye molecule to force itself inside the fiber. The carrier that are used are also called swelling agents for the polyester fiber.

APPLICATION OF PENTRON-DR

to attain excellent grainy effect in fabric PENTRON-DR can give best results. It is widely used for drum washers in several industries like textile, garments, packaging, printing and apparels

It works as an effective Drumming agent in Jet Dyeing machines for swelling and one bath scour-dye techniques.

It works as a penetrating agent also.

Application: For Drumming

After hot grey wash with hydro 0.25-05%, with desired alkali and 0.25% non-ionic detergent at 800c for 20 minutes. 0.5-1.0% PENTRON-DR is suggested in Drumming at 1200c to 1300c for 120-90 minutes.

For Jet Dyeing Machines:

After hot grey wash with hydro 0.25-05%, with desired alkali and 0.25% non-ionic detergent at 850c-900c for 20 minutes. 0.5-1.0% PENTRON-DR is suggested with required alkali for weight-reduction (W.R) and 0.5 to 1.0% PENTRON-DR at 1200c-1300c for 60 to 90 minutes for desired grainy effect.

Combine Scour-Dye technique for dull & dark shades:

0.5%-1.0% PENTRON-DR is suggested with 0.25% non-Ionic detergent at 70')c for 20 minutes, then add disperse dyestuff with 1gpl dispersing agent maintaining pH 4 and raise temperature up to 1300c and hold it for 45 minutes to get complete exhaustion of dyestuff. For moderately hard water sequestering agent is recommended. In this process PENTRON-DR acts as a powerful penetrating agent.
